Biker Shorts Explained

Before I began riding I wondered why cyclists wore those awful spandex shorts.

I mean my mother even described them as practically pornographic.

It seems like a longer version of the Speedo

Can it really be for wind resistance?

No way!!!

Maybe it's just the fashion of the sport?

Kind of like how little girls wear a leotard and a tutu when they are in ballet

But why the spandex shorts. I mean....how tight are those things really? Yikes, who wants to wear something like that?

I had no idea that it's what's on the inside that counts!

(and trust me it really counts!)

Take a look at all of that padding.
I know....I had no idea that THAT is why bikers wear spandex.
It's not about the tight shorts,
It's not about the wind resistance (except for maybe a little)
It's all about the squishy bootie shorts!
AND TRUST ME
It makes a world of difference
The spandex shorts save your bootie!

I also threw my Trade Mark Cow on my water bottles.

I don't really think that anybody will steal them, I just wanted to add a little personality to my water bottle.

These bottles by Camelbak are totally the best!

They keep things cool and they are easy to suck the water out of.

This Cow has been everywhere.

I even threw it on a guard tower in the middle east!

I started drawing it when I was in middle school.

I even painted my car like a cow when I was 18.

I'll have to ask my mom if she can dig up a picture of that!
